Method
Preparation
- Begin by patting the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
- In one bowl, whisk together the eggs.
- In another bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Breading
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
- Coat in the Parmesan breadcrumb mix, pressing down to ensure it sticks well.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the basket, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
- Spray the top of the chicken with olive oil spray.
- Air fry the chicken for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
Serving
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or sides.
Notes
For extra crisp, try double-breading your chicken by repeating the egg and breadcrumb steps. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes.
