Preparation
- Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- With a fork, poke several holes all around each potato, about 6-8 times to prevent them from exploding in the air fryer.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil, making sure they are evenly coated. Sprinkle sea salt and black pepper all over the potatoes.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned potatoes in the basket, leaving some space in between for air circulation.
- Cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy outside.
- To check for doneness, insert a fork; it should glide in easily. If the potatoes need more time, give them an additional 5 minutes.
Serving
- Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer. Top with your favorite toppings and dive in!
Notes
Store uneaten potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes to regain crispiness. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheating will be less crispy but still delicious.
