Main Ingredients
  • 12 sheets Lasagna noodles, preferably no-boil
  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup Butter, unsalted
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, optional, for a kick

Method
 

Cooking the Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp, cooking until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
Making the Sauce
  1. Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer.
  2. Mix in half of the parmesan cheese until melted. Set aside.
Layering and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread a thin layer of the creamy sauce in the bottom of an 8x12 baking dish.
  3. Layer three noodles, followed by a portion of the shrimp, another layer of sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with sauce and the remaining mozzarella and parmesan on top.
  5. Cover with foil (to prevent sticking), and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the top is bubbly and golden.
  7. Before slicing, let it sit for 10 minutes. Top with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables. Garlic bread complements the dish perfectly.
