Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices halal-friendly bacon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Chopped parsley

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook halal bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving some grease in the pan.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add chicken and sear both sides for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Lower the heat and add minced garlic, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant. Slowly add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  5. Sprinkle in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Crumble the cooked bacon and mix into the sauce. Return seared chicken breasts to the skillet, cover, and bake for 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lower-calorie option, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt and use turkey bacon for a leaner alternative. Ensure chicken is seared correctly before baking for depth of flavor.
