Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook halal bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving some grease in the pan.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add chicken and sear both sides for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Lower the heat and add minced garlic, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant. Slowly add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Sprinkle in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Crumble the cooked bacon and mix into the sauce. Return seared chicken breasts to the skillet, cover, and bake for 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lower-calorie option, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt and use turkey bacon for a leaner alternative. Ensure chicken is seared correctly before baking for depth of flavor.
