  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 strips crispy bacon (crumbled)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (chopped, optional for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the bagels in half and toast them until they become golden brown.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, and half of the shredded cheddar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Taste the mixture and season with salt and pepper as desired. Add a sprinkle of fresh chives if you wish.
Assembly and Cooking
  1. With a generous dollop of the creamy mixture, spread it over each toasted bagel half.
  2. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top for an extra cheesy kick.
  3. Place the prepared bagels on a baking sheet and pop them under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Then, serve with your favorite hot beverage and enjoy the cheesy, crispy goodness!

Notes

Store any remaining bagels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply pop them back in the toaster or under the broiler for a quick warm-up.
