Preparation
  1. Pop the popcorn using your preferred method, ensuring to remove any unpopped kernels.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until it's completely liquid, being careful not to let it brown.
  3. Stir in the cotton candy flavoring, mixing well. If using food coloring, add a few drops now and mix until desired color is achieved.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the freshly popped popcorn and mini marshmallows, then drizzle the flavored butter over them and gently toss to coat.
  5. Sprinkle the rainbow sprinkles over the mixture and give it a final toss to ensure even distribution.
  6. Scoop the mixture into bowls or create treat bags for sharing.
