  • 4 pieces eggs Crack one egg into each hole of the bread.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Use your preferred type of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup milk Can adjust to preferences.

  • as needed none Butter or cooking spray For greasing the baking dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease an 8×8 baking dish with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Using a glass or a round cookie cutter, cut out a circle from the center of each slice of bread.
  4. Place each slice of bread in the greased baking dish with the cut-out holes facing up.
  5. Crack one egg into each hole of the bread.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the milk with salt and pepper, then pour gently over the bread and eggs.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and add any additional herbs or spices to taste.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For firmer eggs, bake a little longer. For runny yolks, remove a few minutes earlier. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for about 1 month.
