  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add Vegetables: Mix in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion turns translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Stir in the drained sauerkraut and pineapple chunks. Add the beef broth and paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well.
  5. Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake the Casserole: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil, and if you’re using cheese, sprinkle it on top. Return it to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
