Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced Honeycrisp apples, cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice. Toss together until evenly coated.
- Roll out the pre-made pie crust on a lightly floured surface until about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place the apple mixture in the center of the dough, leaving about two inches around the edge.
- Gently fold the edges of the dough over the apples, creating a rustic border.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the dough edges to create a golden color as it bakes.
- Scatter the diced butter pieces over the apples.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let the galette cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
