Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients and a large mixing bowl. Make sure your kitchen is tidy.
- In a medium bowl, combine your crushed chocolate cookies, chopped nuts, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir well until everything is evenly mixed.
- Add in your non-alcoholic dark rum substitute and vanilla extract. Use your hands to combine all the ingredients until it forms a sticky dough.
- Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder.
- Place the formed Chocolate Rum Balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Once set, they are ready to be enjoyed!
Notes
Store your Chocolate Rum Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months. For a different flavor profile, use Nutella instead of the non-alcoholic rum. Avoid overmixing to keep the texture light and fluffy.
