Preparation
- Gather a large pot, a wooden spoon, a 9x13 inch baking dish, and parchment paper.
- In the large pot on medium heat, combine the butter and mini marshmallows. Stir consistently until melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove pot from heat and gradually add Rice Krispy cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir well until every piece is coated.
- Line the baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture into the dish and use a spatula or your hands (with a bit of cooking spray) to press evenly into the dish. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes.
Dipping and Topping
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in bursts of 30 seconds, stirring between each interval until fully melted and smooth.
- Cut cooled treats into squares or rectangles. Dip the bottom half of each treat into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Set dipped treats on a lined baking sheet and sprinkle with desired toppings while the chocolate is still wet.
