  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded Ensure it’s Halal
  • 1/4 cup pesto sauce Look for a Halal brand
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by shredding your cooked chicken if you haven’t done it already.
  2. Ensure you have your pesto ready to go and your cheese shredded.
Assembly
  1. Take one slice of bread and layer it with shredded chicken.
  2. Top it off with the pesto sauce, ensuring it covers the chicken evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the top.
  4. If you’re adding lettuce and tomato, now’s the time!
Cooking
  1. Place the second slice of bread on top to complete your sandwich.
  2. Toast your sandwich on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Once it’s cooked to perfection, slice it in half to reveal the glorious layers.

Notes
