Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
- Arrange the sliced cooked chicken breasts on top of the buns, then pour marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese generously over the marinara sauce.
- Add a pinch of salt and black pepper for added flavor.
- Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheesy goodness.
- Brush olive oil over the top of the buns for a crispy texture.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
For a lighter option, use grilled chicken. Substituting chicken with eggplant or portobello for a vegetarian variant is also delicious. Let sliders sit for a few minutes after baking for easier handling. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator or freeze before baking for up to a month.
