Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper season to preference
  • to taste Parmesan cheese for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well, allowing it to warm up.
  6. Add fresh basil leaves and stir until they wilt slightly.
  7. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
  8. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
Serving
  1. Plate the chicken, drizzle more sauce on top, and finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
