Preparation
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir well, allowing it to warm up.
- Add fresh basil leaves and stir until they wilt slightly.
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
- Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
Serving
- Plate the chicken, drizzle more sauce on top, and finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
