Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces ciabatta rolls
  • 1 piece grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 ball fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 10-12 leaves fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Slice the grilled chicken breast, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes, and rinse the basil leaves.
  2. Heat your panini press or skillet over medium heat. Drizzle one side of each ciabatta roll with olive oil—this will create that golden, crispy texture!
Build the Panini
  1. Open each ciabatta roll and layer in the following order: a slice of grilled chicken, a slice of fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh slices of tomato, a generous handful of basil leaves, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and lastly, season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cook
  1. Place the top half of each ciabatta roll on your creation. If using a skillet, carefully place a heavy skillet on top to press down as they cook, or place the sandwich in a panini press.
  2. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Serve
  1. Once done, take your panini off the heat, slice it in half, and serve hot. Enjoy the delicious combination of flavors!

Notes

Substitutions: Use grilled turkey or grilled eggplant for a lighter or vegetarian option. Timing: Watch the heat to avoid burning the bread before the cheese melts. Ensure ingredients are sliced thinly for even cooking.
