Preparation
- Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Pat it dry with a clean kitchen towel or salad spinner to ensure it’s crisp. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.
- If you haven't already, cook the chicken breast. You can grill, bake, or sauté it according to your preference. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Once it’s cooked, slice it into thin strips.
- In the bowl with the lettuce, add the sliced chicken, Caesar dressing, and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss everything together until the lettuce is well-coated with dressing, and then adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Plate the salad into individual serving bowls and top each with croutons. For an extra touch, feel free to sprinkle on more Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider substituting Greek yogurt for Caesar dressing. Serve immediately after combining the ingredients to avoid sogginess. Store any leftovers in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, keeping the dressing separate to maintain crunchiness.
