Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 1 loaf Loaf of bread (preferably French or Italian)
  • 1 cup Fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the chopped spinach, cooking until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir in the sautéed spinach mixture, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Ensure everything is well combined.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise, creating a top and bottom. Scoop out a small portion of the insides to create space for the filling.
  6. Generously spread the cheesy spinach filling into both halves of the bread. Press down lightly to pack the filling.
  7. Place the filled loaf on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
  8. Let the bread cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy goodness!

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese! Cheddar or feta can add a unique flavor twist to the filling. You can also prepare the filling in advance and store it in the fridge. Properly stored, leftovers will stay fresh for about 2-3 days.
