Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you gather all your ingredients.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, uncooked rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mixture.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. If using brown rice, adjust the cooking time as needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy within 3-4 days.
