Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Make sure it's fresh for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed Keep the butter cold for flakiness.
  • ¾ cup milk Use whole milk for a richer dough.
For the Filling
  • ¾ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Choose based on your preference for gooeyness.
  • 3 tablespoons garlic butter (melted) Store-bought or homemade.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional) Adds freshness to the presentation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. On a floured surface, turn out the dough and knead it gently. Roll it out to about ½ inch thickness.
  6. Cut the dough into squares (around 3 inches), then place a generous tablespoon of shredded cheese in the center of each square.
  7. Fold the corners of each square over the cheese, pinching to seal it tightly into a bomb shape.
  8. Place the biscuit bombs seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Brush the tops with melted garlic butter and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm. Enjoy the cheesy explosion!
