  • 1 loaf loaf of bread (such as a hearty sourdough or Italian bread)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the loaf into cubes without cutting all the way through.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
Assembly
  1. Gently pull apart the sliced sections of the bread and brush the garlic butter mix into the openings.
  2. Stuff shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese between the slices.
  3. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 15-20 minutes to ensure the cheese melts and the bread gets warm.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes for a golden brown top.
Serving
  1. Let it cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Pairs well with marinara or pesto for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
