  • 2 cups cooked pasta your choice!
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded ensure it's Halal
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for topping
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs optional for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. If using fresh broccoli, steam or boil it for about 3-5 minutes until tender. If using frozen, simply thaw and drain any excess moisture.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chopped broccoli, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is coated evenly.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. If using, add the breadcrumbs for that crunchy crust.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving to help it set.

Notes

Substitutions: You can swap the pasta for whole wheat or gluten-free varieties. For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of cream or cream cheese. Monitor the bake after about 20 minutes to avoid over-browning. Ensure to drain excess moisture from the broccoli to prevent a soggy dish.
