Preparation
- Start by washing and cubing the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine cubed chicken with soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and half of the black pepper. Let this marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Let it sear undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until it’s golden brown on one side.
- Once the first side is golden, sprinkle the remaining black pepper over the chicken and stir it to cook evenly on all sides. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle chopped green onions over the chicken and serve it hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat gently to retain tenderness.
