Method
Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, coating each piece evenly, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- If time allows, marinate in the fridge for an hour.
Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove salmon from marinade and place on the prepared baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes or until flaky and cooked through.
- Switch to broil for the last 2-3 minutes for a crispy exterior, watching closely to avoid burning.
Serving
- Drizzle the reserved marinade over the salmon, serve with lemon wedges, and enjoy!
Notes
Substitutions for Dijon mustard can be yellow mustard or honey mustard. Ensure not to overcook the salmon, aiming for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Leftover salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
