Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 can about 20 ounces pineapple chunks, drained
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (ensure it's halal-friendly)
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped Any colors you prefer
  • 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Skewers soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using

Method

Preparation
  1. Soak your wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.
Marinade the Chicken
  1. In a bowl, add the cubed chicken breasts and pour in the BBQ sauce. Mix well until all the chicken pieces are coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Skewering
  1. Thread the marinated chicken, pineapple chunks, bell peppers, and onion wedges onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients for a colorful presentation.
Seasoning
  1. Lightly sprinkle salt and pepper on each skewer to enhance the flavor.
Grill Time
  1. Preheat your grill over medium heat. Once ready, place the skewers on the grill. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is fully cooked and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F.
Serve
  1. Remove the kabobs from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, and serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

You can swap out the chicken for beef or shrimp if you prefer. Keep an eye on the kabobs to avoid overcooking, which can lead to dry chicken. Leave some space between pieces on the skewers for even cooking.
