Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless, skinless
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh or garlic powder as a substitute
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest For added flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste salt
  • to garnish fresh parsley For a fresh herbal touch

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until you have a smooth marinade.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  2. Remove the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

If using garlic powder instead of fresh garlic, remember it offers a different flavor profile. Do not overcrowd the baking dish for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking.
