Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure an even cook for your baked carrots.
- Peel and slice your fresh carrots into even pieces to ensure they cook uniformly.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and black pepper until well-combined.
- Place the sliced carrots in a large mixing bowl. Pour the brown sugar glaze over them and toss until fully coated.
- Spread the glazed carrots evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Pop the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
Serving
- Remove the glazed carrots from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and serve warm.
