Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Fresh Carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (or ghee, or vegan butter for Halal-friendly option)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon for a warm spice touch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper optional for a mild kick

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure an even cook for your baked carrots.
  2. Peel and slice your fresh carrots into even pieces to ensure they cook uniformly.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and black pepper until well-combined.

  5. Spread the glazed carrots evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Pop the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
Serving
  1. Remove the glazed carrots from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in a skillet to maintain flavor.
