Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place chicken breasts on a clean cutting board and create a pocket in each breast by slicing almost through to the other side.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until creamy and smooth.
- Generously spoon the cream cheese mixture into each pocket of the chicken breasts.
- Wrap each stuffed chicken breast with a strip of Halal chicken bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed.
Cooking
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the stuffed chicken breasts and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is golden.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear.
Serving
- Remove the chicken from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For a lighter version, use low-fat cream cheese or turkey bacon. Ensure not to overstuff the chicken to prevent filling from oozing out. Always use completely thawed chicken for even cooking.
