Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative such as almond or oat milk)
  • 1/2 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup yogurt (optional)
Optional Toppings
  • to taste chopped nuts or raisins for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized bowl or jar, add the rolled oats, diced apples, and cinnamon. If you're using honey or maple syrup, stir that in as well.
  2. Pour the milk (or your chosen non-dairy milk) over the oat mixture. Stir everything together to make sure the oats are soaked evenly.
  3. Cover the bowl or jar and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the mixture to soak overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
Serving
  1. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If you’d like, add yogurt for creaminess, or top with chopped nuts, raisins, or extra diced apples. Enjoy it cold or heat it gently in the microwave for a warm breakfast option!

Notes

Store Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats in the fridge for up to 5 days. For a creamier texture, let the oats soak for a full 8 hours. Be careful not to add too much liquid to avoid soupy oats.
