Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well blended.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing; it’s okay if there are a few lumps!
- Gently fold in the diced apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top using a spatula.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Slice and enjoy warm!
Notes
Substitutions: You can easily swap the apples for other fruits like pears or even add nuts for extra crunch. Timing: Keep an eye on your bread as it nears the 45-minute mark. Don’t overmix the batter; it should be slightly lumpy for a perfectly moist crumb. To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
