Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk (dairy, almond, or oat milk)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and diced

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well blended.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing; it’s okay if there are a few lumps!
  6. Gently fold in the diced apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top using a spatula.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  10. Slice and enjoy warm!

Notes

Substitutions: You can easily swap the apples for other fruits like pears or even add nuts for extra crunch. Timing: Keep an eye on your bread as it nears the 45-minute mark. Don’t overmix the batter; it should be slightly lumpy for a perfectly moist crumb. To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
