Method
Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients. Slice the apple thinly and set it aside.
Assemble
- Take one slice of bread and layer it with turkey, followed by the cheddar cheese, and then the apple slices. Top it off with another slice of bread.
Grill
- Heat a pan over medium heat. Spread butter or drizzle olive oil on the outside of the sandwich. Once the pan is ready, place the sandwich in it, pressing down slightly.
Cook
- Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. If you want it extra crispy, just add another minute or so per side.
Serve
- Once done, remove it from the heat, slice diagonally, and enjoy while it’s hot!
Notes
Pair with a refreshing side salad, creamy tomato soup, or sweet potato fries. To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat on the grill or in a toaster oven for several minutes. Freeze assembled paninis (without grilling) for up to a month.
