Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices slices of your favorite bread (sourdough works beautifully!)
  • 2 slices slices of Brie cheese
  • 1 unit apple, thinly sliced (try using honeycrisp for that extra crunch)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for that golden crust)
  • Honey (optional, for extra indulgence)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread to create a golden crust.
  2. Place a slice of bread butter-side down on a skillet over medium heat. Add a slice of Brie, followed by thinly sliced apples, another slice of Brie, and finally the second slice of bread butter-side up.
  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown, pressing down with a spatula to melt the cheese.
  4. Flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook the other side for another 3-5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is gooey.
  5. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and drizzle with honey (if using). Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately while warm and melty.

Notes

For perfect results, choose bread with a sturdy crust and apples that balance sweetness and tartness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for a month. Reheat in a skillet or air fryer for best texture.
