Preparation
- Butter one side of each slice of bread to create a golden crust.
- Place a slice of bread butter-side down on a skillet over medium heat. Add a slice of Brie, followed by thinly sliced apples, another slice of Brie, and finally the second slice of bread butter-side up.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown, pressing down with a spatula to melt the cheese.
- Flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook the other side for another 3-5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is gooey.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and drizzle with honey (if using). Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately while warm and melty.
Notes
For perfect results, choose bread with a sturdy crust and apples that balance sweetness and tartness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for a month. Reheat in a skillet or air fryer for best texture.
