Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil until combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to soak in the flavors.
Cooking
- Preheat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. You can also use a grill for added flavor.
- Once the skillet is hot, place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 5-6 minutes without moving them, allowing the glaze to caramelize.
- Carefully turn the salmon fillets over and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Drizzle the remaining glaze from the pan over the salmon and garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
- Serve with a side of rice or vegetables.
Notes
For a flavor twist, use maple syrup instead of honey. Avoid overcrowding the pan to maintain a crispy texture. Do not overcook the salmon; it should read 145°F when done. Store leftovers in an airtight container; refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for about 2 months.
