Method
Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients in one place.
Glaze Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Whisk everything together until smooth.
Cooking
- Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Allow it to heat for a minute.
- Gently place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan. Let them cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the underside is beautifully golden brown.
- Carefully pour the honey-garlic mixture over the salmon. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the fish with the glaze as it bubbles and thickens.
- You can either flip the salmon for an additional minute or serve it immediately from the pan.
- Plate the salmon and drizzle any leftover sauce over the fillets. Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds or sliced green onions for an extra touch.
Notes
If avoiding gluten, substitute soy sauce for tamari or coconut aminos. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a moderate oven (around 350°F).
