Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned) If using fresh peaches, wash, peel, and slice them.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (dry) Do not prepare the cake mix; use it dry.
  • 1 can lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP) Pour gently over the cake mix.

Method

Preparation
  1. If using fresh peaches, wash, peel, and slice them into thin wedges. If using canned peaches, drain excess juice.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Spread the sliced peaches evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the peaches. Don’t mix it; just let it sit on top!
  5. Gently pour the lemon-lime soda over the cake mix. Again, do not stir; the soda will create a bubbly crust as it bakes.
  6. Place the dish in your preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow it to cool slightly before serving for the best flavor. Enjoy it warm or at room temperature!

Notes

For best results, allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Pair with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh mint for garnish. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
