Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Gradually sift in the all-purpose flour and mix until just combined; the dough should be crumbly but hold together.
- Using your hands, roll small pieces of dough into balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Press down gently on each ball with a fork or fingers to create a small round disc.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until edges turn light golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- Enjoy them fresh or store them for later!
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar or dip in melted chocolate for added indulgence. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature, or refrigerate for two weeks and freeze for three months. Reheat at 300°F (150°C) for about 5 minutes to restore texture.
