  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Gradually sift in the all-purpose flour and mix until just combined; the dough should be crumbly but hold together.
  4. Using your hands, roll small pieces of dough into balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Press down gently on each ball with a fork or fingers to create a small round disc.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until edges turn light golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
