Pan-Fried Cinnamon Bananas

 

These Pan-Fried Cinnamon Bananas are a quick and easy treat, perfect for a sweet snack, dessert, or breakfast topping. The caramelized bananas coated in cinnamon sugar are absolutely irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas (but not overly soft)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or brown sugar for a richer flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Slice the Bananas
    • Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  2. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar
    • In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
  3. Heat the Pan
    • Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the Bananas
    • Place the banana slices in the skillet in a single layer. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the bananas.
    • Cook for about 2–3 minutes on one side, until they begin to caramelize and turn golden. Carefully flip each slice with a spatula and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.
  5. Serve Warm
    • Remove from heat and serve immediately.
